Hi, my name is Lawson and I am a wonderful YELLOW LAB, maybe not quite a pure-bred lab but everyone seems to think that I am. I was born in 2010 or maybe even 20ll, so I am still a young boy. As you know, labs are very smart and I am too. I mean, look at how ALERT and animated I am, how pretty my fur is, and how full of personality I am! I am filled with love, fun and that 'READY TO GO' attitude! I had a chance for a new home recently and I was very excited. A man adopted me and said that if I was good at hunting ducks, he would keep me. Well - who in the world wants to jump in the water and carry dead ducks? Not me!! So… he brought me back to the shelter. I have to say, I was really glad. You see, I want a home and a family that loves me, even though I don't hunt. Maybe some kids who will play with me, snuggle at night, and let me be their new very best forever fur-friend. I just love kids and everybody I meet. I am a PEOPLE loving guy! Did I tell you that I am smart? Well, I am! I know how to 'sit', 'stay', and 'lay down' on command. I do that very well, too.... except I'd rather play than lay down! I love to carry balls, sticks, toys and treats in my mouth ( just not dead ducks!). I am also CRATE and HOUSETRAINED... doesn't that tell you I am an indoor kind of guy just ready and waiting for my new home? I am extremely friendly, I like everyone and every dog here. When my friends take me for walks here, I like to visit every kennel and say hi to everyone. Some of the other dogs growl at me but I don't care. I just wag my tail and wait for them to like me. My walking friend last week took me to visit the cats. I like them too, they didn't growl at me. I sure hope someone comes and adopts me soon so I don't forget all those smart things I learned, like the 'sit' and 'down' thing. I would love to live with your family, I would be fun, smart, loyal and would love all of you for the rest of my life! Lawson
